		<description>Methanex is a well-managed company operating in a volatile industry.  Because of the inherent volatility in stock price, it will always trade at a PE discount.  Is the current discount sufficient to make it a buy?  I think so, and bought last winter at about 12.  Plan to hold into the low 20s.

The principal use of methanol is a feed-stock to make other chemicals.  MX is the world&#039;s lowest cost and largest producer and it is building another large plant in Egypt on the Red Sea, where is will access Egyptian natural gas.  Historically, it has paid good dividends and kept a good balance sheet.
