Thanks for the information. I just had a quick question. You mention what you filter for but you don't elaborate on the metrics you use for the actual filter. I'd be very curious to know how you do that. I have my own ideas but would like to see yours. Thanks again.

I read up on all three of these and started writing a review of all three, it won't fit in this little reply so I may post my formal review. Summary notes though here:

BAX - I don't love the PE of 16 when the sector is 4, not a super exciting dividend yield 2%, high revenue to employee, but I do like the 5yr EPS growth rate 14.
Not a ton of insider action: http://www.j3sg.com/Reports/Stock-Insider/Generate.php?DV=yes&tickerLookUp=BAX&Submit2322=GO

GR - Love the P/E of 8, Love the current ratio 2, love the 5 yr EPS 75, boring dividend.
Mostly sells around this price on the insider front: http://www.j3sg.com/Reports/Stock-Insider/Generate.php?DV=yes&tickerLookUp=GR&Submit232=GO

GWW- Love the 5yr EPS growth 19.7, Love the Revenue/Employee 406,490, boring dividend.
Lots of sells below the current level: http://www.j3sg.com/Reports/Stock-Insider/Generate.php?DV=yes&tickerLookUp=GWW&Submit232=GO

If I was going to put my dollars into one bucket it would be PR.

I'd like to hear what you think of the following;

BAX (Baxter), GR (Goodrich), GWW (Grainger)

Here is what I see;

1. Very Good D/E
2. Very Good CR
3. Good Dividends
4. Good 5 year EPS
*Thus sound financially
5. All trading at a discount with respect to Intrinsic Value
**Value Stocks
6. Better than their Peers in the sector for ROE, 5 yr ROE, Profit Margin, and 5 yr Profit Margin
***Leaders in their sector.

So in short, sound financially, good values, and better than their peers historically.
