Greg -- Not sure what you're looking at. Just the one EXCEL add-in at the site:

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/smf_addin

BTW, I took a series of charts a user of the add-in had been using and copied them into a dashboard format. Here's a picture of the results:

http://ogres-crypt.com/images/Dashboard-Example-Mike.gif

Most of the data is coming from Morningstar.com.

Nice initial work! Most people learn more from a graph, or graphical display, than from just a set of raw numbers. The challenge with this kind of system, or any time graph, is the use of absolute values. Change over time is more useful when percentage change is used as the unit of measurement. Looking at the Goodwill chart the drop look kind of impressive but in percentage terms it wasn't. The increase in cash and short-term investment looks impressive in the other direction and really is impressive because it represents a 400%+ increase. You may be able to color code the graphs to represent more relevant changes (light green for 25%+ moves, light red for -25% moves.

You could really have something here in terms of a marketable product. Technical analysis is accessible to the masses in part because of its graphical nature. Fundamentals are assumed to be 'too hard' for the lay investor. Maybe you are the one to cross that barrier.

Awesome tool!

I'd suggest making all charts be zero-based on the y-axis (or having an option to see it with the zero included), so as to simplify understanding the magnitudes of the drops/rises.

Minor nit: because you have cash flow and income statement, don't call it "balance sheet" dashboard.

Put in a stock symbol in Gurufocus (tab at the top of the homepage). Click 'Search'. It will take you to a page with a number of tabs. One of the tabs is '10 yr financials'. Click on any line item in the financials and you will get a chart (e.g., trend chart of Free Cash Flow per share). All for free. Great resource. Ciao

For gurufocus charts...go here:

http://www.gurufocus.com/financials.php?symbol=BMY

...then click on a row label (e.g. "Revenue per Share ($)"). You'll see a chart of the data, plus a trendline. They even have EMBED code (just beneath each chart) so the charts can be embedded on web pages.

Thanks Chris- I will make it a web page application once it is fully perfected. Right now to build a sheet all I have to do is pass in a ticker symbol and an exchange and it does all the heavy lifting for me. Stay tuned!

Not quite a dashboard, but I have a free open-source EXCEL add-in that can grab data from the Internet. One workbook I created did something like this, where each chart is generated from the selected drop-down label at the top. A picture of the workbook:

http://ogres-crypt.com/images/smf-charts-aeos-as-of-2006-07-11.jpg

I do have a function to create charts "in cell" from data. A picture of the sample workbook:

http://ogres-crypt.com/images/smf-inCellChart-Example.gif

...so that could be used to create quick and dirty charts versus the cleaner ones in the first example.

The Yahoo group where I support the add-in is the link on my name for this comment.

I'll have to see if I can create a workbook similar to your web page display.

Also, if you visit http://www.morningstar.com first (need to have a cookie from their site before charts can be grabbed), this PHP routine I have pulls all of their fundamental charts for a given ticker:
